Kluk Kluk Glass Co. Glass Decanter With Deep Indented Vertical Oval Shapes Handmade By Holmegaard Kluk Glug Glass In Denmark

$34.99

Great piece of history and fun conversation piece.

This style is of  1825 and they are still making glass to this day. It is known as the Kluk  Kluk (in Danish) or Glug Glug (in English) referencing the sound it makes when the liquid is poured from it.

The bottom is marked “Federal Law Prohibits Sale” manufactured in the Post-Prohibition Era (1940s – 1964 when the law was repealed), which is why this inscription was required to be placed on all American whiskey bottles after the end of prohibition. This requirement lasted until 1964 after which whiskey bottles no longer carried this inscription. (Bottles were made with inscription between 1932-1964)

1-Decanter (28 Oz. )  10 1/4″ the original glass stopper is wrapped with cork around its contact point for a tight fit
